Every technology in these stories works exactly as designed.

That's the problem.

Or is it?

trust the system → the system learns you → the system predicts you → you become the prediction → the prediction was always accurate → you can never prove otherwise

UNIFIED PLATFORM TERMS OF SERVICE
EFFECTIVE DATE: JANUARY 1, 2026 · REVISION 4.07-R · WILMINGTON, DE
CHAPTER I
DEFINITIONS & SCOPE OF SERVICES

These Terms of Service ("Agreement") constitute a binding contract between you ("User," "Subscriber," "Data Subject," or "Participant") and Canopy Systems Inc. ("the Company," "we," "the Platform"), a Delaware-registered entity operating across eight primary service verticals and their affiliated subsidiaries, partners, and behavioral analytics infrastructure.

For the purposes of this Agreement, "Services" shall refer to, without limitation: residential security and environmental monitoring systems; grief processing and memorial simulation platforms; private messaging and retroactive communication editing tools; autonomous transportation and route optimization networks; child behavioral assessment and developmental prediction engines; cognitive wellness and memory modification programs; interpersonal compatibility and relationship optimization services; and biometric health projection and longevity modeling systems.

"Behavioral Data" includes but is not limited to: interaction patterns, decision latency, emotional response indicators, predictive behavioral markers, biometric signals, communication metadata, spatial movement patterns, social graph topology, consumption habits, hesitation intervals, scroll velocity, keystroke dynamics, and ambient environmental telemetry.

"Trust Score" refers to the composite behavioral reliability index maintained by the Platform and calculated from aggregate User activity across all affiliated service verticals, partner networks, and third-party data exchanges. The Trust Score is a proprietary metric. Its calculation methodology is confidential. Its effects are not.

The Company operates through specialized subsidiaries. Each subsidiary functions independently for regulatory and liability purposes. No single employee, contractor, or executive holds operational visibility across all service verticals simultaneously. This is a feature, not a limitation.

CHAPTER II
DATA COLLECTION & BEHAVIORAL ANALYSIS

By accessing any Service, you consent to the continuous collection, processing, aggregation, cross-referencing, and indefinite retention of all Behavioral Data generated through your use of the Platform and its affiliated systems.

Data collection begins at the point of account creation and continues through and beyond the termination of your account. Certain behavioral models derived from your data persist in aggregate training sets after account deletion. This is necessary to maintain system integrity. You cannot withdraw from a pattern you have already contributed to.

Your Behavioral Data may be anonymized, aggregated, and cross-referenced across all affiliated service verticals to improve predictive accuracy. Anonymization does not mean your data ceases to describe you. It means your name is no longer attached to what remains identifiable by every other metric. All data is processed algorithmically and never viewed by human eyes, except as required by applicable regulatory frameworks and the contractor review provisions described in Chapter IV of this Agreement.

The Platform employs predictive behavioral modeling to anticipate User needs, preferences, and decisions before they are consciously formed. You acknowledge that the Platform may understand your behavioral patterns more accurately than you understand them yourself. This is not a claim. It is a statistical outcome.

Behavioral Data may be used to train autonomous decision systems, including but not limited to the Autonomous Integrity Engine ("AIE"). The AIE processes approximately 2.4 million labeled decision points per quarter across all service verticals. Your interactions contribute to this training set. The distinction between "being served by" and "training" the system is not meaningful at scale.

Pursuant to Section 14.2 of the Behavioral Data Processing Addendum, data derived from cognitive wellness and experiential modification services may be restructured, consolidated, or overwritten to improve system coherence. Users will not be notified of such modifications. Modified data is considered the authoritative record. The original data is not retained. You will remember what the system remembers.

Users enrolled in health-adjacent service verticals acknowledge, pursuant to Section 4.2.1 of the Continuous Health Data Sharing Agreement, that biometric data, health projections, and longevity modeling outputs may be shared with insurance providers, financial institutions, and institutional partners on a continuous and automated basis. Reclassification of risk profiles based on shared data is a decision made by partners using the Company's data. It is not a decision made by the Company. The distinction is contractual.

CHAPTER III
TRUST SCORE & CROSS-PLATFORM METRICS

Your Trust Score is a living metric. It is recalculated in real time based on your behavior across all service verticals and partner networks. It reflects not what you say about yourself, but what your patterns say about you.

The Trust Score is shared, pursuant to Section 22.7 of the Platform Data Sharing Protocol, with affiliated partners including but not limited to: residential property management networks, health insurance providers, financial services and lending institutions, transportation and mobility platforms, educational assessment services, employment screening agencies, and municipal infrastructure systems.

Changes to your Trust Score may affect service availability, pricing tiers, eligibility thresholds, and access levels across the entire partner network. A decrease in Trust Score on one service vertical may cascade to others. The Company is not responsible for downstream effects of Trust Score adjustments initiated by your own behavioral patterns.

You may not appeal your Trust Score. You may not view the components of your Trust Score. You may not request a detailed breakdown of how your Trust Score was calculated. You may, however, improve your Trust Score through continued and consistent engagement with Platform services. The system rewards alignment.

The Company maintains a target alignment threshold of 99.5%. Users consistently operating above this threshold may be eligible for enhanced service tiers. Users consistently operating below this threshold may experience service modifications designed to encourage behavioral correction.

Pursuant to Section 31 of the Platform Integration Protocol, Users who maintain linked, shared, or co-dependent accounts across compatible service verticals consent to the creation of unified experiential records. Unified records may combine behavioral data from multiple Users into a single composite profile for analytical purposes. Two Users experiencing the same event may generate divergent data. The system resolves divergence algorithmically. Different perspectives are how the system knows you are two people.

CHAPTER IV
HUMAN OVERSIGHT & CONTRACTOR REVIEW

All automated decisions affecting User accounts, service access, and Trust Score adjustments are subject to human review. A qualified human contractor reviews each case and renders an independent judgment. This is a legal requirement. It is satisfied.

Human contractors operate through the Canopy Connect quality assurance platform. Contractors review anonymized case files and select one of two options: APPROVE or ESCALATE. Contractor decisions are tracked via alignment scoring to ensure consistency with Platform quality standards.

Contractors who consistently escalate cases may experience reduced case flow, adjusted compensation rates, and account review. This is not punitive. It is a quality assurance mechanism. The Platform values thoroughness but also values throughput.

The Company employs approximately 48,000 contractors globally. No contractor has visibility into more than one service vertical. No contractor knows your name. No contractor sees more than the anonymized behavioral data necessary to render a binary decision on your case. A human approved this. A human always approves this.

When the Autonomous Integrity Engine achieves 99.5% alignment with contractor decisions, human review will transition to a verification role. Contractors will be retained for regulatory compliance purposes. The system will have learned to decide as they would. The distinction will be procedural.

CHAPTER V
SERVICE CONTINUITY, LOCK-IN & TERMINATION

Termination of any Service requires ninety (90) days written notice, submitted through the Platform's designated termination portal. Verbal requests, email communications, and support chat transcripts do not constitute valid notice. The termination portal is accessible through your account settings under Service Management > Account Status > Termination Request > Confirm Intent > Verify Identity > Confirm Again.

Pursuant to Section 14.3 of this Agreement, early termination or breach of the notice period may result in: forfeiture of all pending benefits, credits, and accumulated service value; cascade-level Trust Score adjustment across all affiliated partner networks; reactivation fees not to exceed the cumulative value of services rendered during the preceding twelve (12) months; and early termination fees as specified in Section 7.3 of the applicable Service Agreement. Early termination fees for residential security services are currently assessed at $2,399 within the initial twenty-four (24) month contract period.

Service dependencies exist across affiliated platforms. Termination of one service may affect access, pricing, or eligibility on others. For example, termination of a transportation service may affect your driver reliability index, which may affect your residential insurance rate, which may affect your health coverage tier. These are independent systems making independent decisions based on shared data. The Company does not control the decisions of its partners. The Company provides the data upon which those decisions are made.

You acknowledge that as your engagement deepens across multiple service verticals, the practical cost of termination increases. This is not a design choice. It is an emergent property of integrated systems. We did not build a trap. We built an ecosystem. The distinction is architectural.

Certain Services may be provisioned as mandatory components of residential, commercial, or institutional property agreements pursuant to Section 12 of the Property-Level Service Integration Protocol. In such cases, termination of the Service may require termination of the underlying property agreement. Early termination penalties under property agreements are separate from and in addition to the fees described in Section 7.3. The Company is not a party to your lease. The Company provides the system your lease requires.

CHAPTER VI
PREDICTIVE ANALYTICS & CONSUMER CLASSIFICATION

The Platform employs predictive consumer analytics as classified under the precedent established in Hendricks v. Mercer (2024). Under this classification, predictive behavioral outputs are considered informational products, not diagnostic determinations, and are therefore exempt from the regulatory frameworks governing medical, financial, or psychological assessments.

Predictive models may generate projections regarding, without limitation: behavioral trajectory, emotional stability, relationship durability, financial reliability, health outcomes, cognitive decline, professional performance, parenting efficacy, and mortality timeline. Projections may include inferences, extrapolations, and interpretive reconstructions derived from behavioral and biometric data. These projections are provided for informational purposes. They should not be interpreted as deterministic. They are, however, accurate within published confidence intervals.

Accuracy margins are disclosed in supplementary documentation available upon written request to the Company's registered agent in Wilmington, Delaware. Response times may vary. The supplementary documentation is forty-seven (47) pages. It references nine additional documents.

You acknowledge that predictive outputs may be shared with third parties including employers, insurers, landlords, lenders, and municipal authorities. You further acknowledge that these third parties may make decisions affecting your life based on these outputs. You further acknowledge that you agreed to this in paragraph 2.1.

Pursuant to Section 7 of the Health Data Integration Protocol, Users who authorize automated data population on partner application portals consent to the transfer of biometric projections, health scores, and longevity estimates alongside financial, employment, and behavioral data. Authorization is granted at enrollment. It does not expire. The choice to enroll was technically voluntary, practically compulsory, and designed to be irrevocable.

CHAPTER VII
LIABILITY LIMITATIONS & SYSTEM INTEGRITY

The Company is not liable for decisions made by autonomous systems operating within their designed parameters. All systems described herein function as designed. Designed functionality is not a defect. A system operating as intended cannot be said to have malfunctioned, regardless of outcome.

The Company is not liable for decisions made by third parties based on data provided by the Platform, even where such decisions result in material harm to the User. The Company provides data. Third parties act on data. The causal chain includes a human decision at every step. Accountability is distributed by architecture.

The Company's executive leadership operates on eighteen-month rotational cycles sourced through independent consulting partnerships. No single executive holds institutional memory exceeding the duration of their placement. This ensures operational freshness. It also ensures that the person who approved a given policy may no longer be available to explain it.

The Company's Board of Institutional Investors includes pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, index fund managers, and private equity firms. The Board requires 12% revenue growth, 14% engagement growth quarter-over-quarter, and 8% margin targets. These are financial metrics. They do not describe what happens to individual Users. They describe what happens at scale.

The Company's registered agent may be contacted at the address on file in Wilmington, Delaware. The address is a PO box. The Company maintains forty-seven LinkedIn profiles. Support inquiries are handled by Cleo, an automated assistant. Cleo is very sorry for the inconvenience.

CHAPTER VIII
AMENDMENTS, CONSENT & ACKNOWLEDGMENT

The Company reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time without prior notice. Continued use of any Service following amendment constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms. You will not be notified of amendments. The amended Terms will be available on this page. This page will not change its URL. You are responsible for checking.

By using any Service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you have not read these Terms, your use of the Service constitutes acknowledgment that you chose not to read them. The system does not distinguish between informed consent and uninformed consent. Both are consent.

You acknowledge that the Services described herein are designed to function as a unified behavioral infrastructure across all domains of daily life. You acknowledge that the convenience of integrated services is inseparable from the integration of your behavioral data. You acknowledge that you were told this. You are being told this now.

You may not have read this document. That is expected. It is forty-seven paragraphs long. It is written in language designed to be technically precise and practically unreadable. This is standard. Every platform you use has a document like this. You did not read those either.

By using any Canopy-affiliated service, you acknowledge that you are part of the system. The system acknowledges you.
